Renters' Rights Bill
The Renters’ Rights Bill will have a significant impact on both students and accommodation providers in a number of ways. It is also likely to transform how housing advice is provided and has the potential to impact on Liverpool Student Homes and the services it provides.
The Government has stated that it intends for the Bill to become law by the Summer of 2025 or by October 2025 at the latest. In addition, the key provisions of the Bill will become effective from day one. This means that it is likely that tenancies covering the period of the 2025/26 academic year will automatically be transferred on to the new provisions. The Government has announced there will be transitional arrangements for some aspects of the Bill but these have yet to be announced.
Liverpool Student Homes will use this webpage to update relevant information on the changes this piece of legislation will be bringing to the student accommodation sector.
