There are 2 single bedrooms and 1 larger bedroom for lodgers that are part of the house, and there is a huge kitchen and communal space.
There is no-one else apart from the owner/occupier (Paul Garner, a medic/Professor emeritus). There are three bathrooms, and you have a separate entrance. It’s a sociable house, very clean and tidy. Fifteen minute cycle to the to the University of Liverpool, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, or town; space for cycles; St Michaels train station 3 min walk, and then it’s 8 minutes journey to Central Station.
Post-graduate students from the University of Liverpool and LSTM (including medics from the Diploma in Tropical Medicine (DTMH)) have stayed here for many years. Also good for post-doctoral and academic staff joining the University looking for somewhere pleasant for a few months while they find a more permanent place.
In the last few years, there has been F2 doctors studying on the diploma, postgraduate students from Italy, France, Holland, South Africa, Germany on attachments at the University studying sociology, philosophy, music; epidemiologists working at LSTM, a Professor moving to Liverpool for work.
